Unlike Isolators and Voltage Control Relays the Sterling Battery Maintainer is FET based and draws under 1ma under operation this helps maximise the power from low charge devices like solar and wind. Unlike relays FET devices have no contact and are free from wear and noise so have a much longer life span.
